This policy explains how InstaBook ("InstaBook", "we") handles information. InstaBook provides software that local businesses ("Customers") use to receive and respond to inquiries from their own customers ("End Users").
Two kinds of information
Account information. When a business signs up, we collect the owner's name, email, business details, and billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
Inquiry information. When an End User submits a request form, the business that owns that form receives the details entered (such as name, email, phone, service requested, address or vehicle details, preferred time, and message). We process this information on behalf of that business, which decides how it is used. If you submitted a request to a business and have questions, contact that business directly.
How we use information
- To deliver the inquiry to the business and send the automatic replies, follow-ups and reminders the business has turned on.
- To operate, secure and improve the service, including preventing spam and abuse.
- To bill Customers and provide support.
- If a business uses AI reply drafts, the inquiry text is sent to our AI provider to generate a draft that the business reviews. It is not used to train models under our agreement with the provider.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run InstaBook (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, AI drafting), under contracts that limit their use of it, or when required by law.
Email preferences
Every follow-up email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops follow-up emails from that business about that request.
Retention and deletion
Businesses can export or delete inquiry records at any time. When a Customer closes their account, we delete their data within 30 days, except where we must keep billing records by law. End Users can ask the business, or us at [email protected], to delete their information.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and each business can only access its own records.
Children
InstaBook is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
